Jalandhar, September 9, 2013: The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) Secretary Virendra Sharma and District Congress Committee (Urban) President Arun Walia have demanded resignation of Sunil Jyoti, Mayor of Municipal Corporation Jalandhar (MCJ).
In a joint statement, they added the Mayor Sunil Jyoti has failed in holding an important meeting of the Finance and Contract Committee (F&CC) of the Municipal Corporation.
They added if the Mayor Sunil Jyoti fails to resign at his own by Wednesday, the Congress activists will hold protest infront of the Municipal Corporation's office with a demand of Jyoty's resignation.
