Students of KMV Institute of IELTS Excel: Kanya MahaVidyalaya, Jalandhar, the Autonomous Heritage institution always provides ample opportunities to students to touch new horizons. The KMV Institute of IELTS at the College campus, inaugurated some time back, has been providing expert guidance and IELTS training to the aspirants, from College or outside. Recently, two students from KMV Institute of IELTS scored very good bands. A student named Sukhman scored 7 bands overall and 8 bands in reading. Another student, Simran scored 6.5 bands overall.
The College Principal Prof Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the faculty members and lauded their consistent efforts in providing quality training to the college students and people from outside the College at very nominal and affordable fee under the supervision of highly competent and qualified teachers. She appreciated Ms Seema Jain for her guidance and Dr Reena Sharma for her supervision in running the program, and Ms Shailja Sharma for providing effective training to the students. She also extended best wishes to the students for success in their endeavours and hoped that the institute will grow from strength to strength in the times to come.
CT students learn manufacturing of milk at Verka: The students of B.Tech. (CSE & ME) post 2nd Semester, undertook an industrial visit to the Verka Milk Plant, Jalandhar City.
At Verka Milk Plant, the students learned about the various managerial skills along with the technical knowhow about the manufacturing, preservation and packaging of milk and milk related products like Paneer, Lassi, Kheer, pinni, curd etc. They understood the technical aspects of processing of any organization.
The students also inquired and solved their queries in discussion with the technical staff. The students gained knowledge about quality standards also.
Dr. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami, Director, Maqsudan Campus said that industrial visits are very important because it bridges the gap between industry and academics. Mr. Anurag Sharma, Vice Principal CTITR said regular industrial visits are conducted to give more emphasis to the practical work along with theory.
