Introductory Session held for MBBS fresher

Ludhiana, August 13, 2013: The introductory programme for MBBS Admission Batch-2013 was organised today in Dumra Auditorium, to welcome the new batch of students to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital.

The programme was well attended by the fresher alongwith their parents, faculty members and members of the DMCH Managing Society.

Principal Dr Daljit Singh extended warm welcome to the students and their parents. In his address, Dr Daljit Singh traced the history of the college and its contribution in the academics and quality-health care in the region. He further exhorted the new batch of MBBS students to focus on intellectual development and join the profession with an aim of serving the ailing humanity. Besides acquiring professional expertise, a successful doctor needs to have many other special qualities and attributes such as dedication, hard work, respect for people, courtesy and good communication. skills.

Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the new academic session, Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina said that in order to strive and deliver the best medical services to the people, doctors should adopt a role model and work with dedication. During the session, the faculty of various specialties were introduced to the  students and  occasion and the fresher and their parents were also introduced personally to the audience.

Among those present on the occasion include Vice President Amrit Nagpal, Secretary of DMCH Managing Society- Prem Kumar Gupta, management members, Chief Cardiologist- Dr. G. S. Wander and Medical Superintendents Dr Sandeep Puri and Dr Ashwani Chaudhary.
