International Workshop on Nanostructured Drug Delivery for Diverse Biomedical Applications concludes at PU

Chandigarh, October 25, 2016: International workshop on “Novel and Nanostructured Drug Delivery for Diverse Biomedical Applications” concluded at Panjab University (PU) here today.
The prestigious workshop was organized under Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) programme of Government of India.
The second day of the started with a Dynamic Lecture by Chairperson, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Prof. Bhupinder Singh Bhoop on “Quality by Design (QbD) of Nanopharmaceuticals. He elaborated upon the fundamentals of QbD paradigms for
systematic development.
Subsequently Prof. Mandip Sachdeva from Florida A&M University, USA familiarised the participants on the fundamentals of Hot Melt Extrusion and its
application in the development of diverse drug delivery systems.
The post-lunch session was conducted by PU Director, Research Promotion Cell Prof. O.P. Katare. He gave an extensive talk on Liposomal Products, from concept to commercialization. He shared success stories and case studies to motivate and encourage the participants. He also elaborated upon Industry- Academia collaboration opportunities.
