International Conference on ‘Sustainability Issues in Commerce and Management’ (Day-2)
Ludhiana, October 23, 2018: On the second day of International Conference, entitled ‘Sustainability Issues in Commerce and Management’ at Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Ludhiana, which was organised by Post Graduate Department of Commerce, witnessed a great response by the research scholars and delegates. Today, there were two technical sessions, chaired by Dr Keshav Malhotra, UBS, PU, Chandigarh, Dr B.S.Virk, NJSA Govt College, Kapurthala and Dr Jaspal Singh, GNDU, Amritsar, respectively. Around ninety research papers were presented by the research scholars, delegates and students who had come from various Indian and Foreign institutions. Dr S.P. Singh extended a warm and hearty welcome to S. Upkar Singh Ahuja, PHDCCI, Convener-Ludhiana Punjab State Chapter, Shri Rajesh Gupta, Executive Vice-President, JCI, India and Dr H.S. Bhalla, Deputy Director, DPI, Chd, the guests of honour and the chief guest, respectively. He congratulated the department on their great success of holding International Conference on the college premises. Dr Arvinder Singh, the college Principal, applauded the endeavours of all the faculty members. He exclaimed that this kind of conference boosts the confidence of the students, provides an opportunity to the delegates to share their knowledge and experiences with each other. Such kind of academic activities are beneficial for the mental growth of the students and also to gain wisdom to observe their surroundings with an open mind. Through this seminar, it is being conveyed that the intellectual dilemma which the contemporary management is facing, is to strike a balance between economic growth, human well being and the achievement of a sustainable future. The delegates were given mementos as a token of love and respect .Prof.Jatinder Kaur proposed a vote of thanks to all present. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the chief guest, guests of honour, delegates, all the faculty members and students.
