GNA University celebrates ‘International Animation Day’

Jalandhar, November 1, 2018: Faculty of Animation & Multimedia of GNA University, Phagwara organized celebrations for “International Animation Day” at the GU Campus for creating awareness among students about importance of the day. The day was marked by the Inauguration Ceremony by reverend Pro-Chancellor S.Gurdeep Singh Sihra and Vice Chancellor Dr.V.K.Ratan and Dr. A.K.Sehajpal of GNA University. They shared their experiences and thoughts with the students and appreciated the efforts by the team of Animation & Multimedia. To mark this day faculty of Animation & Multimedia conducted 3D Gaming competition for the students of Animation and various other faculties. There were also various competitions Like Mixed Media, Face Painting and Mimicry/Standup comedy in which Students of Animation& Multimedia and various departments participated in the events with full enthusiasm. Apart from this, few students of university also took initiate to performed singing act. The day was concluded with the special Mime Act by the students of Animation & Multimedia following the Prize Distribution Ceremony where Honourable Pro Chancellor S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra and Vice chancellor Dr. V.K. Ratan Guest Dr. A.K. Sehajpal and Head of FAM department, GNA University- Mr. Baljit Singh , shared their views about importance of International Animation Day and rewarded the winners with attractive prizes. They also encouraged the team of Animation & Multimedia to celebrate this day on State-Level in the coming years.
