Inter University prize winners being honoured in Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar on Thursday.

Jalandhar, January 22, 2016: Students of Lyallpur Khalsa College who while representing GNDU, won the  second position in the debate competition in the 31st  Inter-University Youth Festival (North Zone) held at PAU, Ludhiana were honoured on Thursday in the college. In a brief function held in the college campus, Dr.G S Samra, Principal, honoured students Kritika Khanna and Gurpriya Waraich for their excellent feat in the debate competition on the topic “Make in INDIA –How justified and unjustified is it in the development of India”. Teams from 31 universities who had qualified in their respective zones in their zonal youth festivals had participated in the event. These students have made the college proud as they would now represent North India and compete for the medal in the National Youth Festival to be held in February in Karnataka. Speaking on the occasion, the college Principal Dr. G S Samra lauded the achievement of the students in this very important field of debate and reiterated the commitment of the college in providing every support for all-round development of students. The President of the College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur congratulated the students and the staff Incharge on this achievement and wished them luck for the national event for which they had qualified. Other members present during the felicitation ceremony were Dean Co-Curricular activities Prof Rashpal Singh, Prof Sandeep Ahuja, Prof Mansi Chopra and Prof Geetanjali Mahajan.
