Ludhiana, October 21, 2016: GGN Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT) organized an inter-school fine arts, literary, computer and hospitality fiesta-Matrix-2016 here today. 20 esteemed schools including ( DAV , BRS Nagar, Guru Nanak International, DAV Pakhowal Road, MGM Public School, RS Model Sr.Sec.School and many others) participated in the mega extravaganza that included events like : Rangoli, Painting, Declamation, Quiz, Flower Arrangement , Power Point Presentation, Salad Making, Turn the Coat and Poster Making. The event witnessed a huge crowd of over 400 school students. About 40 teachers from different schools accompanied their teams.
The event began with Shabad Gyan and Lamp Lighting ceremony. Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT accorded a warm welcome to the guests.
This was followed by the events of the mega fiesta. The Students from different schools showcased their talents, team spirit and healthy competition. The students of GGNIMT presented a cultural show during the event. The events of one act play, mime and group song that brought laurels to the institute during the IKG PTU Zonal Youth festival, also won many accolades during this event.
Prof. Prithipal Singh Kapur gave away the certificates and trophies to the winners of the various events. He motivated the students to involve themselves in extra-curricular activities for their all round development.
DAV Public School, BRS Nagar were declared the overall winners for Matrix 2016.
While talking to the media Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director GGNIMT said that the event was intended to provide a platform to the school students to interface with the subject in charges and placement heads of the host institute to seek career – oriented guidance.
Principal Dr. P. S Khattra expressed gratitude and proposed a vote of thanks to the guest & principals of all the schools that lent their support in the successful completion of the event.
Gursharan Singh Narula, Vice President, GKEC along with other office bearers graced the occasion with their benign presence.
