Inter-school competitions at Ramgarhia Girls College

Ludhiana, February 10, 2018: Ramgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj, Ludhiana organised Inter-School Competitions on February10, 2018 in which around 12 schools participated with great enthusiasm. Competitions included Poster Making, Card Making, Slogan Writing, Poetical Recitation and Quiz. More than 50 students showcased their vivid talents in different areas. The main purpose of the competition was to explore the hidden talent of the students beyond the books. The students put their efforts to recite the poems in the coherent form during poetical recitation and gave their best performance. The students were judged on the basis of clarity, presentation, fluency and pronunciation. “Clean Ludhiana Green Ludhiana”, “Road Safety” and “Indian Festivals” were the themes for art competitions where budding stars showcased their creativity using various hues and colours, whereas Quiz was based on Computer basics. Dr. Daljeet Singh, an eminent Surgeon, Ludhiana marked his presence as the Chief Guest. While addressing the gathering, he emphasized that such inter-school events play a role in motivating students to perform, excel and offer a lot more reward than just winning a prize. S. Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council said that such types of events help in developing essential skill of public speaking and also go a long way to boost confidence of children to face audience comfortably. Principal Dr. Inderjit Kaur said the competitions would give an adequate exposure to the students. She exhorted the students to participate with zeal and enthusiasm in all such activities. Principals S.Satnam Singh, S. Amanjeet Singh, Mrs. Satwinder Kaur, Mrs. Rakesh Kumari, Mrs. Mona Singh, Mrs. Kawaljit Kalsi, Mr. Ashok Tandon and Mrs. Kuldeep Kaur, Mrs. Balwinder Kaur were also honoured for gracing the occasion. Winners were presented with trophies and received applause and appreciation for their laudable achievements. S. Gurcharan Singh Lotey, Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council gave Vote of thanks to one and all present there.
