Jalandhar, January 10, 2015: The INSPIRE Internship Camp 2015 was organised in Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar from January 6 to 10 sponsored by Department of Science and Technology.  On the last day of the camp in the first session Dr. D. Pal, Associate Professor, IISC gave lecture on computational Biology.  He cleared the concepts of DNA, water and carbohydrates.  He cleared the concept of Bioinformatics to the students for their future prospective. 

In the second session, Anuj Sharma from Police DAV Public School gave an informative talk on the ‘Robotics’ science technology.  He talked about different types of robots, their parts and the tools required to construct a robot.  He also demonstrated the working of a robot and showed how the software can be executed to make the robot work according to our own wishes.  Students also discussed advantages and disadvantages of robotics.  The students also visited Heritage Centre and Botanical Garden of the college.  

In the valedictory session, the State Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Vijay Sampla was the chief guest.  Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj and camp coordinator Harpreet Singh welcomed the chief guest with bouquet of flowers.  The students of Music Department presented a welcome song.  Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj said that positive thinking is also necessary with scientific approach.  The students from various schools gave their feedback about the camp. 

In his address, Vijay Sampla said that nothing can stop your way if you have decided your destination with full strength.  The spirit to achieve something should always be high and positive.  Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj honoured Vijay Sampla. 

On this occasion, Dean Academics, Meenakshi Syal, Head of Chemistry Department Bhupinder Kaur, Head of Botany Department Dr. Meena Sharma and all the science teachers were also present.  Stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia.
