Indian Air Force music band performs Live at CT Group, marks I-Day
21 IAF musicians play patriotic songs, enthralls audience for the first time in Punjab Jalandhar, August 10, 2018: It was a moment of pride when 21 members of Indian Air Force, Adampur musical band performed patriotic songs Live, for the very first time in Punjab, in Sardani Manjit Kaur Auditorium, CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur on the occasion of 72nd Independence Day. Dressed in their professional uniforms, the officers enthralled audience, around 1000 in number, with various patriotic numbers like Maa Tujhe Salaam, Vande Matram, Aye Mere Vatan Ke Logo and Dil Diya Hai, Jaan Bhi Denge etc. The two hour performance was started with motivational words of Flight Lieutenant Uday Kiran who was accompanied by Managing Director CT Group, Mr. Manbir Singh, Campus Director Dr. GS Kalra and Mr. Abhishek Soni, Deputy Director, Center for Career, Planning and Counselling (CCPC). The 21 member team was comprised with Ashok Kumar, Junior Warrant Officer (JWO) who performed the role of a key instructor for the rest of the musicians namely Sergeants Harishankar, KPP Kumar, PN Sharma, G Ghosh, MK Sharmah, GC Tiwari, Ben Thapa, CA Daniel and AC rank officers namely Sooraj Josh, Suraj Biswas, Kushal Dinker etc. Flight Lieutenant Uday Kiran said, “Music has always been a part of the defense culture strengthening the mood, and inspiring officers to move forward. IAF has a strong tradition of its own when it comes to military music and musicians. Our band has performed in various places in the country and abroad and today we have performed live for the first time in Punjab and we are quite thankful to CT Group for their unconditional support.” Mr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director appreciated and thanked IAF officers for celebrating Independence Day with CT Group and for giving their enthralling musical performance.
