IIA-LC welcomes Union Budget (2014-15)

Ludhiana, July 10, 2014: The Indian Institute of Architects – Ludhiana Centre (IIA-LC) feels that it is a good step to revive Special Economic Zones, increase in Foreign Direct Investment in Insurance and Defence, development of industrial corridors with emphasis on Smart Cities linked to transport connectivity, scheme for development of new airports, developing tourist circuits around specific themes, tax incentives for Real Estate Investment Trust, Infrastructure Investment Trust and mission low cost affordable housing.
“As more and more people from rural areas are shifting to urban areas, so creating 100 smart cities will bring a lot of excellent development all over country, which is need of time to create more beautiful cities like Chandigarh”, said Sanjay Goel, Chairman, The Indian Institute of Architects – Ludhiana Centre (IIA -LC).
