Vigilance nabs ASI in graft case

Chandigarh, August 2, 2014: Vigilance Bureau today nabbed an ASI red handed while receiving bribe or Rs 18,000.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that ASI Randip Singh posted at Police Station Moonak, District Sangrur was nabbed on the complaint of Jagraj Singh who was working as driver with PRTC. In his complaint Jagraj Singh alleged that ASI Randip Singh was demanding bribe or Rs. 18,000 from him to settle a case of internal dispute and clash during strike.
Acting on the tip off, a trap was laid by the team of Vigilance Bureau, Patiala headed by Inspector Paramjit Singh and ASI Randip Singh was arrested red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 18,000 from the complainant.
