I-Day celebrations in Ludhiana: 25 tableaus to showcase development of state & country

Ludhiana, August 6, 2019: Different tableau's depicting the development of our state as well as our country would be the centre of attraction during the Independence Day celebrations to be organised at Guru Nanak Dev Stadium, Ludhiana on August 15, 2019.

With an aim to promote welfare schemes amongst the masses, the District Administration has asked all the government departments to prepare their tableaus.

While chairing a meeting in this regard, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Sanyam Aggarwal informed that on this national festival, different tableaus would be prepared. These include tableau's related to Skill Development Centre, DRDA Computer Centre, Skill Development, R-Seti, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Dairy Development, Child Labour, paddy straw management and enhancing soil fertility, Ujjwala Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Save Water Save Punjab, Industrial Development, wildlife protection, tree plantation, Verka products, health facilities, education facilities and schemes, digital payments, saving environment, power generation and distribution, solar energy, Markfed products, District Social and security Department etc.

Aggarwal has directed all the departments to submit theme of their tableau's by August 7 and ensure that the staff on duty with the tableaus are well dressed. He said that although these tableaus are carried out each time, but this time, their number has been increased. These tableaus would start from Guru Nanak Dev Stadium and would finish their journey at District Administrative Complex.
