Healthy baby contest under `Bharat Nirman Jan Soochna Abhiyan’ at Mullanpur Dakha

Mullanpur Dakha (Ludhiana), November 10, 2013: On second day of three-day `Bharat Nirman Jan Soochna Abhiyan’ being run by Jalandhar Office of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, at Mullanpur in Ludhiana district, on Sunday, a healthy baby contest was held.
The objective of holding this competition was to promote National Rural Health Mission and Child Development. A total 73 children between the age group of 0-2 hailing from Mullanpur Dakha Branch participated in the competition. Of these, the number of girls and boys was 38 and 35, respectively.
Jasmeet Kaur, Baljiwan Singh and Nirmaljit Kaur, stood first, second and third, respectively, in the competition. The winners were given mementoes by Regional Publicity Office, Jalandhar.
On the occasion, Community Health Center Sudhar’s Dr. Rakesh Gill and his team members ANM Paramjit Aaur, Assistants Kewal Singh and Darbara Singh and ASHA worker Baljit Kaur examined the children and enquired about diet and health habits of the children.
