Chandigarh, June 15, 2016: The great enthusiasm with which Panjab University (PU) is bracing itself for the International Yoga Day can now be viewed on a video available at http://webcast.pu.ac.in/index.html.
As a prelude to the International Yoga Day the video showcases the ongoing efforts of PU Administration, Faculty and students in making this great event a success.
The 6 minute 17 second video has been produced by the PU School of Communication Studies. In this one can get glimpses of the six Yoga training camps at the PU Cricket Ground, PU Shooting range, Girls Hostels No 2, 5 & 8 and Boys Hostel No. 8.
It is remarkable to note that more than fifteen hundred participants are attending the six camps regularly. The Yoga training camps are open for students, teachers, staff members, alumni and general public.
PU Dean Students Welfare Prof Navdeep Goel and Prof Nandita Singh informed that the University is fully geared up for the June 21 celebrations. As many as 4,634 persons have submitted hard copies of registration forms for participation in the International Yoga Day Celebrations. Hundreds of other PU yoga training participants submitted online registration.
The Yoga training camps are being conducted by the PU Dean Students Welfare and the PU Directorate of Sports. The participants are being trained in the camp as a run up to the International Yoga Day Celebration in which the Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi will lead the celebrations in Chandigarh on June 21, 2016.
