PU Hold 3rd International Workshop under GIAN-MHRD Scheme

Chandigarh, October 22, 2016: Panjab University is going to organise its 3rd International workshop entitled “Novel and Nanostructured Drug Delivery for Diverse Biomedical Applications” under Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) and MHRD scheme from 24th to 28th October 2016. Under the aegis of CRIKC, the workshop is being organized under the stewardship of Professor Arun Kumar Grover, Vice Chancellor, PU, as its Chief Patron.
“Professor Mandip Sachdeva from Florida A & M University, Tallahassee, USA and an acclaimed scientist in the area of novel and nanostructured drug delivery will be the Resource Person. Prof sachdeva is a fellow of AAPS (USA) and a recipient of the Fulbright Fellow Award (USA). He has made seminal contribution to the area of nanotechnology and has been involved with drug delivery systems for lung, breast and skin cancer and topical psoriasis.
“Professor Sachdeva’s work has fetched more than 140 peer-reviewed publications, 1 book, 6 book chapters and more than 300 presentations”, shared Professor Mehta, Coordinator, GIAN.
“The primary objectives of the course would be to understand the evolution of drug delivery concept and recognize the challenges faced by drug delivery scientists across the globe. More than 60 participants from across the country are participating in this workshop to understand various nemesis of novel nanostructured drug delivery”, said Professor Bhupinder Singh Bhoop, Course Coordinator.
Professor K K Bhutani, Director, NIPER would be the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Programme. Professor O P Katare, Director, Research Promotion Cell and also a course coordinator would also speak on the occasion.
