Government has plan to develop Universities in Haryana- CM

New Delhi, November 9, 2014: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal today said that the State Government has a plan to develop Universities of the State as Centre of Excellence and provide quality education in colleges.

He was addressing the teachers after inaugurating educational and administrative block of Pt Neki Ram Sharma Government College at Rohtak in Haryana.

The Chief Minister also sought suggestions from the people to further improve education system and other sectors. The Government would consider all such suggestions, he added.

He said that adequate opportunities should be provided to all brilliant students to groom their talent. No one should be deprived of education due to adverse family circumstances, he added.

Describing the teachers as helmsmen of our nation, he said that teachers had driven our society in the positive direction by infusing among moral values among the youth. He called upon them to spare some time from their busy schedule and perform the task of realizing the vision of good society. The teaching fraternity would have to awaken self-confidence in future generation so that they achieve their goal.

The Chief Minster said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid special focus on improving standard  of education at all levels. The Central Government has implemented National Education Policy under which Haryana Government would assist in further improving the level of education in the state. Whatever the schemes would be formulated to provide quality education to youth, all would be implemented at a fast pace. Apart from that, program-mes like Shramev Jayate and Make in India have been started to provide adequate employment opportunities to the youth, he added.

Manohar Lal also urged them to take inspiration from life of former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, late Dr. Mangel Sein.

Those present on  this occasion included Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu, MLA Manish Grover and other senior officers of the state government.
