Sub Division Level function of National Voters Day being celebrated at Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo.
Talwandi Sabo, January 25, 2014: Sub Division Level function of National Voters Day celebrated at Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo. SDM Talwandi Sabo Shruti Sharma Pandey was the chief guest of the programme. Tehsildar Avtar Singh Makkar presided over the function. Public Relation Officer Guru Kashi University Sukhdevinder Singh Kaurra was the key note speaker stated about the history of voters day and described various facts and figures related to election system in India. He also said that all the eligible voters should cast their vote for active participation in the system.
Chief Guest Shruti Sharma Pandey dwelt upon that along with the right of the vote, this is also our responsibility to cast it without any fear or pressure. She also motivated the youth for maximum participation. Chief Guest and other officers distributed voters cards to the new enrolled voters on this occasion.
Winner students of various schools under the initiative of Election Commission of India "Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation Programme were also honored. BLO's of the Sub Division also honored for their praise worthy work during the elections and other related works.
