GKU holds Seminar on Gadar Movement

Talwandi Sabo, September 22, 2014: Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo in collaboration with Desh Bhagat Memorial Hall, Jalandhar organised a seminar on Gadar Movement to make the students aware of the historical & cultural events. Dr. Harvinder Bhandal, DIET Kapurthala was the key speaker of the programme.
Dr. N.S.Malhi Vice-Chancellor of GKU presided over the function. Dr. Malhi welcomed all the delegates and the speakers in the Campus. He motivated the students to learn a lot from rich history & culture of Punjabiat.
Dr. Harvinder Bhandal, in his key note address, stated that Gadar Movement played a vital role in the independence struggle. He further stated that this was one of the layer of independence struggle which also provided the way of modernization to the Punjabi people. He also shared that Gadar Movement touched Historical, Economic, Cultural & Literary aspects and Society can be enriched with the thoughts of the great people associated with Gadar Movement.
Dr. B.S.Dhaliwal, Dean Academics of GKU thanked Dr. Bhandal and other delegates for such an illuminating lecture to the students. Apart from the others Satish Goswami, Registrar, Dr. Narinder Singh, Director Finance and Dr. A.K. Kansal, Principal Guru Gobind Singh College of Education were also present on this occasion.  Dr. Jagwinder Singh Jodha and Prof. Sukhdevinder Singh Kaurra compared stage during the whole programme.
