Giddha, singers & star cast of Didalrian movie provide dazzling end to 4-days Youth Festival

Ludhiana, October 6, 2015: The girl participants dressed up in the traditional Punjabi rural dresses steal the heart of audiences by performing the fabulous Gidha on the fourth day of the Panjab University Zonal Youth & Heritage festival Ludhiana-Zone A at the Kamla Lohtia Sanatan Dharam College auditorium on Tuesday. The energetic “Boliyan” full of light satires made the scene exhilarating. Moreover the enthralling performance of the Gidha participants was followed by the stunning folk dances presented by the students of various colleges on the stage of auditorium on the last day of the Panjab University Youth & Heritage festival.

The renowned Punjabi actor and singer, Jassi Gill also visited the college premises with the star cast of movie ‘Dildarian’ for the promotion of their movie. The surprise visit of actor & singer Jassi Gill with the star cast added flavor to the final day of Youth Festival in the college. The dazzling performance by singer Anmol Gaggan Mann made the last day evening of youth festival sparkling for the audiences in the college. The college students went crazy to take selfie with Jassi and Babbar Gill to post them on facebook.

The morning chief guest of the Youth Festival was Madan Lal Bagga, Vice-Chairman Excise & Taxtaion (Punjab Government), President, SAD, Ludhiana who performed the ceremony of liting the lamp. The evening chief guest was the Padamshri Dr S.S. Johal, Chancellor, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda and guest of honour were Colonel G.S. Chadha, Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh. They were welcomed by Dr. B.D. Budhiraja, former, Dean Colleges, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Dr Shiv Mohan Sharma, principal of college and other members of management, Sunil Aggarwal, Dharampal Jain, Senior Vice President, Sandeep Aggarwal, Vice-President, Brij Mohan Ralhan, Vice-President, R.D. Singhal, General Secretary, Rajesh Mittal, Secretary, Shaman Jindal, Cashier, Sandeep Jain, Manager and executive members.

Madan Lal Bagga in his address appreciated the Endeavour of Principal Dr. Shiv Mohan Sharma, Sunil Aggarwal, President and other managing committee members for organizing the youth festival. He also exhorted the young students to remain attach with their culture, heritage and tradition as the tree grows up only because of strong roots. The evening chief guest, Padamshri Dr S.S. Johal, in his address to the students, expressed failure as a stepping stone to success and advised them to never stop trying and working hard to be successful in life.

The last day of the Youth festival started with Gidha, Group Folk dance, Group Folk Orchestra, Folk instruments, Heritage quiz preliminary and final to end up four day celebrations with pomp and show.  Around 1,500 students from around 15 colleges participated in the four-day youth festival at the Kamla Lohtia Sanatan Dharam College.
