Ghubaya flags off Intercity train from Ferozepur and Fazilka to Delhi

Feorzpeur, August 9, 2013: Today, Sher Singh Ghubaya, MP flagged off intercity trains from Ferozepur and Fazilka to Delhi.

Talking to the media persons on this occasion, Ghubhaya said, “From the very first session of Parliament, the issue of starting of new trains from Ferozepur and Fazilka has been taken up. The demand for Shatabdi Express from Ferozepur and Fazilka for Nanded Sahib and Haridwar was also demand and extending the Shatabdi Express upto Moga to Ferozepur but the Railway Ministry in the Centre had only approved two trains, one each from Ferozepur and Fazilka”.

He further said, “He will continue to fight for more train in the Parliament, till such time the remaining demands for trains are not met”.

Ghubaya also said, “He will also raise the demand for early starting the construction of Ferozepur-Sri Amritsar railway line”.

He also shared with the media persons that with the start of these two intercity trains, the people of this area would be benefited.  The Centre Government has decided to modernize 100 railway stations in the country and due share for Punjab was also demanded but the people of Punjab has been treated step-motherly.

Ghubaya informed that the intercity trains started today will start daily at 2 AM from Fazilka dn 4.30 AM from Ferozepur and reach Delhi Sarai Rahela by covering 382 KMs at 11.40 AM and on return the train will start from Delhi at 7 AM and reach Ferozepur at 2.45 PM.
