Finolex Pipes entersLimca Book of Records

Chandigarh, October 24, 2016: Finolex Industries Ltd, one of the largest pipes and fittings manufacturer in India has been awarded with the National Record certificate by The Limca Book of Records for conducting the largest number of plumbers meets organized simultaneously across 26 states and 58 cities on 11 March, 2016.

The activity which was carried out on the occasion of World Plumbing Daywas recognized andappreciated by senior plumbers across the country, appreciating theinitiative and the company’sdedication in creating a well-trained eco system for new plumbers. The meets focused on the importance of skilled plumbers in the country. More than 3,000 plumbers participated in this activity.

Mr. Nitin Kulkarni, President- Sales & Marketing, Finolex Industries Ltd. expressed his gratitude, saying, “We would sincerely like to thank the Limca Book of Records team for awarding us the certificate and acknowledging the work done by Finolex Industries. We feel great pride and greater responsibility to conduct similar activities in the future, while attempting to empower the plumber community with skills required for the job.” He added, “Skill development is the first step towards employment generation and a better lifestyle. The contribution of the construction industry inthe country’sGDP is significant, and plumbers are one of the important pillars ofthisindustry. Finolex takes active part in training and development of the plumbers. We have already collaborated with Kushal- a training wing of CREDAI Pune Metrofor training plumbers in the country.”

The plumber meets were aimed atimparting training about the best industry practices and technologies to plumbers and felicitate them for their contribution towards maintaining hygiene, sanitation, and saving water. The response from the plumbing community for this event was encouraging. While the company continues its interaction with the plumbing community by conducting plumbers meet throughout the year in various parts of the country, going forward, it also plans to increase the size and scale of these events.
