Ludhiana, July 26, 2018: Gurmeet Singh Kular (President) and K.K.Seth (Chairman) FICO urged Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, to intervene into the transporters strike.
They said as Punjab is a land locked state and due to the transporters’ strike, the raw material is not arriving here and even manufactured goods are not being transported out of factories. The factory workers are sitting idle, the finished products are stocking within the factory premises. The transporters strike has turned into emergency like situation in the nation. So, it is the high time that the Centre should intervene into the matter. They urged that the strikers should call off their strike at the earliest possible time.
