Ludhiana, January 9, 2018: Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization organized a session on Cyber Crime & Security at Hotel Radisson BLU, Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana. Shri P.G.S.Rao, Director, Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises, New Delhi was the Chief Guest along with Shri Dhruman Nimble I.P.S., Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana was the Guest of Honor. Shri Mohit Sharma of Bulwark IT Solutions was the key note speaker on the occasion.
With emergence of technology, the cases of Cyber Crime are ever increasing, there are various types of computer operated crimes are being notices for the past decade. Cybercrimes can be defined as: "Offences that are committed against individuals or groups of individuals with a criminal motive to intentionally harm the reputation of the victim or cause physical or mental harm, or loss, to the victim directly or indirectly, using modern telecommunication networks such as Internet (networks including but not limited to Chat rooms, emails, notice boards and groups) and mobile phones (Bluetooth/SMS/MMS)".

Shri Dhruman Nimble I.P.S., Deputy Commissioner of Police Ludhiana, enlightened the members about the crimes being carried away these days using mobile phones, computers and a network, he also shared some recent incidents with the members. He urged the members to keep on alpha-numeric passwords rather than simple passwords for their banking systems, accounting systems and mobile phones. He explained that taking care of few basic things can help preventing a crime to occur. He also urged members not to share their banking details, aadhar details, OTP’s with anyone else.
Shri Mohit Sharma, the key note speaker shared in detail that how the cyber-crimes are being carried out, and how to keep yourself, your systems, your data safe out of the criminals out there. He further said that no one has any idea about how and when they can be attached upon by cyber criminals. He also explained the basic steps to keep ourselves safe from the hackers of cyber criminals.

Shri P.G.S. Rao Director, Ministry of MSME, New Delhi, also enlighten the members present about how hard the government is working to keep its data secure, further he added that one should not share his/ her personal details, aadhar details, and banking details with anyone else, just to keep themselves safe and secure.
Team FICO also celebrated the New Year by cake cutting ceremony, and President S. Gurmeet Singh Kular congratulated the members present for the wonderful 2018.
