185,000 liters effluent to be treated per month by Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society

Ludhiana, September 26, 2018: Today, the third meeting of Board of Management of Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society (LETS) held under the chairmanship of Shri Narinder Bhamra CEO along with S. Gurmeet Singh Kular Secretary LETS; at Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society, Common Effluent Treatment Plant, D-261, 262, Phase VIII, Focal Point, Ludhiana.
It was discussed that environmental considerations are the need of the hour. It was decided that Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society will organize a plantation drive from 2nd October and plant 10000 more plants, near the CET Plant, the both sides of road connecting Focal Point and Dhandari Railway Flyover, and on the national highway under the Plantation Drive through LETS.

It was briefed that 27 new members have been approved by the board of management of LETS as various applications for the Membership of Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society has been received recently.

It has been unanimously decided that the Common Effluent Treatment Plant of JBR Technologies will be upgraded to the world’s latest technology to make it more cost effective & more environment friendly.

It was stated that 185,000 liters effluent to be treated per month by Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society. S. Kular, said that the team will work to reduce the charges for effluent treatment and will make more industry join with LETS, and get their effluent treated, as this directly helps in reducing the level of water pollution.
