Delegates of FICO, Ludhiana on Wednesday submit a memorandum to Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal at Chandigarh.
Ludhiana, November 19, 2014: A delegation of Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organisations (FICO), Ludhiana on Wednesday met Parkash Singh Badal. Chief Minister, Punjab, in Chandigarh, regarding the problems being faced by the industry.
The delegation was led under the chairmanship of Pankaj Munjal, Past President, All India Cycle Manufacturers Association. It was comprised among others of Onkar Singh Pahwa (Chairman Bicycle Research & Development Organization), S.S. Bhogal Deputy Chairman) and Umesh Narang (President G13 Cycle Association), Rajeev Jain (Secretary FICO and General Secretary of UCPMA) and Gurmeet Singh Kular (Chairman PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Ludhiana Zone).
A memorandum was presented to the chief minister. The demands taken up with the chief minister were related tp reduction in VAT, factory license renewal fee, advance power consumption deposit, technical upgradation of bicycle industry, approval of VAT refund above Rs.25 lakh and sewerage sharing charges.
