Father proves to be lucky charm for Shekinah in the mega auditions of Superstar Singer

Kids singing reality show, Superstar Singer which airs on Sony Entertainment Television made a musical start on 29th June. The stage was graced by immensely talented singers who successfully made their way to the mega auditions. Out of the many participants, Shekinah Mukhiya, 13 year-old contestant from Dehradun brought by captain Sachin Valmiki, stole the limelight when she requested her father; Vikas Mukhiya to play the guitar for her on the stage during her performance. This was a shocking moment for everyone on the set including the captains - Salman Ali, Jyotica Tangri, Nitin Kumar and Sachin Valmiki while the judges- Himesh Reshammiya, Alka yagnik and Javed Ali praised her performance.

Shekinah, who sang the song, ‘Humma Humma’ was gave such a breath-taking performance that judge Javed Ali couldn’t help but stand on the chair and cheer for her. Everyone on the sets became emotional as Shekinah called her father on the during her performance so he could play guitar for her. Shekinah feels that her father is her lucky charm and whenever he plays guitar for her, she gives her best performance. This proved to be true after she sang the song with her father strumming the guitar for her. Talking about this beautiful father-daughter bond, Judge Alka Yagnik said, ”She has the maturity of a singer way ahead of years. Her performance mind blowing. Shekinah is another strong contender for the title of Superstar Singer.” Agreeing to Alka’s view, Judge Javed Ali said,” I have heard such good yodelling after many years. Shekinah’s style will shine bright out of all the other contestants. She not only sang the song but lived it.”

Each and every child considers something or someone as their lucky charm and for this contestant it was her father who played the guitar for her on the sets. Shekinah’s performance shocked everyone and her lucky charm proved its worth.”
