An Extension lecture on Future Perspective of Human Genome Project being held at KMV, Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, September 26, 2015: Department of Bioinformatics of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar organised an extension lecture on “Future Perspective of Human Genome Project”. The guest speaker on the occasion has Dr.Gursatej Gandhi, Associate Professor, Department of Human Genetics, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Dr. Gandhi’s emphasis has on how genome sequencing has become a powerful tool in today’s better diagnosis, therapeutics and treatments. She also discussed the concept of personalized medicines i.e. medicine for a particular person according to his/her genome. The students found the lecture very informative as it acquires them with the latest developments in the field of Bioinformatics. The Principal of KMV Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi Said that such lecture prove to be very beneficial for the students.
