Chandigarh, November 24, 2015: The Education Department, Punjab, has directed all the schools in the state to celebrate first constitution day on 26th November.
Disclosing this, a spokesman of the department said that all the schools have been instructed to guide the students about the preamble of the constitution during the morning prayers. Besides this, one period on 26th November must be devoted to making students aware about the various aspects of the constitution with the help from experts. The spokesman also said that on this day, quiz and essay writing competitions should also be held focusing on the constitution of the country.
According to the spokesman, the Education Department has also directed all the schools and District Education Officers (DEOs) to ensure the maximum participation of students and teachers in this Endeavour and send the report to the headquarters.
