EXTENSION: Centre of excellence scheme extended upto 2014

Chandigarh, January 10, 2013: After the constant efforts of Punjab Government, The Union Government today extended the Centre of Excellence Scheme upto November 2014.

Giving the details about the decision taken by the Union Government, Technical Education Minister of Punjab Anil Joshi said that decision in this regard has been taken after the Punjab Government has taken the issue with the Union Labour Ministry. He said that now the Instructors/Guest Faculty employed under this scheme would not be relieved. The Minister further said that if any person had earlier been relieved, he/she would be employed again.
