Expert Session under Nirayat Bandhu Scheme held at GNDEC

Ludhiana, September 19, 2018: An awareness lecture under the aegis of Director General of Foreign Trade was organized at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana. The lecture was delivered by Sh.Satish Kumar, Additional Director, DGFT, Ludhiana. Welcoming the guest, Dr.Sehijpal Singh, Principal, GNDEC said that college was all for holistic development of the students and the authorities were committed to give insight about all possible avenues to the students. In his lecture, Sh.Satish Kumar built up from basics of export import mechanism and how India was faring in terms of foreign trade. he made the complex terms look simpler and explained that there were many myths and misconceptions about the export procedures, items in the export list, licensing requirements which needed to be cleared. Sh.Vinay Sharma of FIEO said that such programs were being organized under the Niryata Bandhu Scheme of the government of India. Student members of The Institution of Engineers (India) and Indian Society for technical Education were actively involved in this lecture. delivering the vote of thanks, Dr. Arvind Dhingra, faculty Advisor, SCIE & ISTE, GNDEC said that such program go a long way in inculcating interest in students for a particular area.
