Ludhiana, March 9, 2018: Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is celebrating Special Services Fortnight from 24/02/2018 to 10/03/2018 on the occasion of 66th Anniversary of the ESI Scheme. On this occasion, multi pronged activities were organized by Sub Regional Office of ESIC at Ludhiana in order to publicize and popularize the Scheme at grass root level.
The fortnight started with a Seminar with Ludhiana Marriage Palace Association at Shehnai Palace, Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana on 28/02/2018, where 30-40 of the association members attended the Seminar alongwith Officers/Officials of ESI corporation.
A medical Health Checkup camp was organized at M/s Oswal woolen mills, Sherpur Chowk, Ludhiana in association with ESIC Model Hospital, Ludhiana on 07/03/2018. Sh. P.K. Narula, Director, ESIC alongwith Dr. Balaraj Bhandar, Medical Suprintendent, also attended the same. Around 200 Insured Persons attended the Medical Camp. Medicines, wherever required, were also given to the workers on the spot.
On the same day i.e. 07/03/2018, an open house Suvidha Samagam was also organized at Branch Office, ESIC, Giaspura in the presence of Sh. P.K.Narula, Director. On the spot redressal of Public grievances were provided in the Samagam. Around 100 persons alongwith HR Personnel from M/s Hero Cycles, Avon Ispat and cycles, Ralson Tyres attended the Samagam.
Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is a one of the world’s largest multi dimensional social security scheme under Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt. of India, which provides social protection to Workforce of the country against the impact of incidence of sickness, maternity, disablement or death due to employment injury and to provide medical care to insured persons and their families. This Scheme is implemented through Employees’ State insurance Corporation. In Ludhiana ESIC is providing its services to 380218 Employees working in 14162 factories/establishments through one Sub Regional Office, 05 Branch Offices, one Model Hospital and 13 dispensaries spread across the city.
