Entrepreneurship Development Centre inaugurated at St. Soldier Group of Institutions to promote StartUp India Campaign

Jalandhar, June 30, 2016: Keeping view of student’s placements as well as for their self-employment; St.Soldier Group of institutions inaugurated Entrepreneurship Development Centre in St.Soldier Institute of Engineering, Technology and Management.
EDC was inaugurated by the Managing Director Prof.Manhar Arora in the presence of Director Dr.Vijay Dhir, Director CRC and Head of EDC Sanjeev Erri, Dean Prof. Gurpreet Singh.
While inaugurating the EDC Prof.Manhar Arora told that the EC is established under the guidelines of Chairman Anil Chopra and Vice-Chairperson Sangeeta Chopra to promote the vision of Prime Minister Narender Modi and his campaign of Startup India. He further said,” the objective of opening of EDC is very important as we are encouraging students to become job creators rather than the job seekers. After opening of this EDC the students of St.Soldier Group of Institutions will have the benefits of inculcating the spirit of entrepreneurship in their minds.
Prof.Manhar Arora added that the services of Entrepreneurship Development center will be to arrange Entrepreneur Awareness Camps, Skill Development Training Sessions, Industrial Visits, Interaction with the successful entrepreneurs, research and surveys of new business ideas, liaison with the financial institutions to fund the projects of the students and most importantly guiding and rendering advice to sick enterprises and assist the entrepreneurs in rehabilitating them. The additional improvement we made in this EDC is that we have made panel of member from available of faculties like Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Information Technology, Hotel Management and Teacher Training. There will be big advantage to budding entrepreneurs that they can have consultations and advice from different experts required for setting of new business and projects.
