Jalandhar, June 27, 2016: St Soldier Group of Institutions, Jalandhar organised a Guest lecture for the Members of Engineering Faculty.
Dr.Balbinder Singh Deo, Associate Professor in Department of Business of University of Northern Columbia, Canada gave lecture on the topic of Breadth and Depth of Engineering Education.
Prof.Manhar Arora Managing Director, Dr.SPS Matiana Director St.Soldier polytechnic College, Dr, Vijay Dhir Director St. Soldier Institute gave floral welcome to Dr.Balbinder Singh Deo.
In his address Dr.Deo said, “ Engineering is most sought professional programs in the world and there is so much that Faculty of Engineering can contribute in shaping the future society. He said “it is the time now every teachers who teaches engineering must have knowledge of other subjects and new engineering concepts. He introduces two new concepts of engineering those were Social Engineering and financial Engineering. According to Dr. Deo no engineer can survive in this competitive world if he does not have the understanding of events happening around the globe.”
In his thanks speech Prof. Manhar Arora told members of faculty to have three things in their mind while teaching, they are Sensitivity, Analytical Attitude and Observant behavior. With these three attributes any average teacher can become good teacher.
In the question answer s session faculty asked several questions related to social engineering and financial engineering as how they would be include those fields as special subjects in their teaching.
