Dr Rajesh Sharma to contest again as Independent from Kangra

Dharamshala, October 23, 2017: The MD of Sri Bala Ji Hospital Kangra, Dr Rajesh Sharma filed nomination as independent candidate from Kangra. He was accompanied by a pretty large crowd.
Dr Sharma said, “I applied for Congress ticket but denied. I have no regrets, as the public of Kangra will even elect me as Independent candidate. I feel bad because on the request of Congress party I spent more than Rs.5 lakh to carry workers to Mandi for Rahul Gandhi’s rally, the money otherwise could have spent on the welfare of the public.”
Dr Sharma was also an Independent candidate in 2012 elections, and remained 4th in 8 cornered contests with 15.79 % votes while the winner secured 29% votes.
