DISTRICT level oath taking ceremony of Sarpanchs and Panchs on August 10

Ferozepur, August 6, 2013: The oath taking ceremony of Sarpanchs and Panchs of Panchayats, the most important and primary unit of democracy would take place on Agusut 10,2013 at 1 PM at New Anaj Mandi, Ferozepur Cantt, said Manjit Singh Narang, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur while presiding over the review meeting for preparation of oath taking ceremony.

Giving the detailed information, he said, the oath taking ceremony of Sarpanchs and Panchs of Ferozepur District,  will be performed by Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab.  In this ceremony, Janmeja Singh Sekhon, Irrigation Minister, Sher Singh Ghubaya, MP, Kamal Sharma, Punjab BJP President, Surjit Singh Rakhra, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister would also participate.

The deputy commissioner assigned the duties to various departments for making arrangements for the oath taking ceremony and said, no laxity in the arrangements would be tolerated. He directed the concerned departments to make arrangements for the security, parking, drinking water etc at the place of oath taking ceremony, well in advance. 

He further said, in this programme, the newly elected 4760 panchs and 820 sarpanchs would take the oath.

On this occasion, Varinderpal Singh, SSP, Sonali Giri, ADC(Gen.), Arvinder Pal Singh Sandhu, ADC(Dev.), Mukand Singh Sandhy, SDM, Zira, Amrik Singh, DDPO, Jasbir Singh, SP, Majit Singh, DMO and Amrik Singh, DPRO were present.
