Ludhiana, July 26, 2018: Under the Mission Tandrust Punjab being started by the Punjab government, the officials of District Administration along with the Police officials today carried surprise checks of drug de-addiction centres of the district for the second consecutive day.

Miss Kanu Garg, Assistant Commissioner (Grievances), Ludhiana informed that upon checking, the working of these drug de-addiction centres was found satisfactory and the officials also interacted with the youth under treatment there.

Today’s checking was carried to check the technical aspects of these drug de-addiction centres and the feedback of youth undergoing treatment there was also taken.

She informed that Dr Geeta from Civil Hospital Ludhiana and Tehsildar Ludhiana West Mr Mandeep Singh Dhillon carried checking of Sandesh Psychiatric Nursing Home on Hambran Road, here, Dr Rajinder Bhatia from Community Health Centre (CHC) Koom Kalan and District Development and Panchayat Officer Mr Roop Singh carried check of Christian Medical College & Hospital, Dr Rajinder Gulati from Sub Divisional Hospital Khanna and Naib Tehsildar Khanna Mr Ranjit Singh carried surprise check of Ivy Hospital, Khanna, Dr Gurdeep Singh from CHC Pakhowal and Naib Tehsildar Ludhiana West Mr Harminder Singh carried surprise check of Mittal Drug De-Addiction Centre, Pakhowal Road, here and Dr Santosh and Naib Tehsildar Dehlon Mr Jagtar Singh carried surprise check of drug de-addiction centre at Civil Hospital, here.

She said that the checks at drug de-addiction centres were carried to check their technical aspects and the teams also interacted with the youth undergoing treatment there and also took their feedback. She said that such surprise checks would continue in coming days as well.
