Disha Inter Corporate Carrom Tournament

Second edition of the tournament witnesses’ participation under Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles categories
Chennai, February 14, 2016: The Second Edition of ‘Disha Inter Corporate Carrom Tournament’ will witness the city’s biggest Corporates contest under the Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles Category. The competition is organized by Disha Sports Academy, under the aegis of The Ma Foi Foundation on 14th February 2016 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Mr. G. Vijayaraj, General Secretary, Tamil Nadu Carrom Association and Zonal Secretary, All India Carron Association will felicitate the winners.
The Tournament aims at raising funds to coach and train talented children in the field of sports from the under privileged sections of the society. Zoho Corporation, McDermott International, PayPal and many other corporate giants participated in the competition.
Speaking about the tournament, Ms. Latha Rajan, Managing Trustee, Ma Foi Foundation, said “With the overwhelming response for the last edition of the tournament we were motivated to organize the tournament for the second year in a row. We see many corporate companies participating in these tournaments as a platform for team building activities and also instill in them the importance of contributing to the betterment of under privileged children. Innumerable talents are buried in the raw and open streets of poor India and Disha Sports Academy provides a platform and develops talents in not just the poorest but the highly talented in parts of Chennai. Through our initiative we are confident that we will bring some of the hidden talents across society into the limelight.”
