DGP appreciates Punjab police personnel for smooth, peaceful and impartial conduct of Lok Sabha elections

Chandigarh, April 30, 2014: The Punjab DGP Suresh Arora today appreciated all the officers and Men, who actively participated in the Lok Sabha Election 2014.  
In a communiqué addressed to DGP/Home Guards and Civil Defence., Pb., ADGP/Armed Bns., ADGP/IT&T-cum-Election Cell, ADGP/GRP,Pb., PTL., Commissioners of Police, Zonals IsGP , Range DIsG in the State of Punjab and SSPs, the DGP pointed out that It was because of you and your men hard work, dedication and sincerity that these Elections were conducted in a very smooth, peaceful and impartial manner. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the officers and Men of CPMF/SAP forces who assisted the State police in conduct of the Elections.   He also expressed his Best Wishes and thanks to the family members of officers and men who stood by them during this arduous duty.  The role performed by the jawans of Punjab home guards needs special appreciation, he added.
The DGP further said that he was really proud of the officers and Men of Punjab Police who have worked tirelessly over the last few days and have displayed their exemplary commitment in maintaining Law & Order in the State.
