Chandigarh, September 17, 2014: The Punjab Government today issued strict instructions to all the Heads of the Departments, Commissioners of Divisions, all the Deputy Commissioners and Senior Superintendents of Police to furnish any reports/information sought by Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission on priority basis in the time-bound manner.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson said that this Commission came into being under Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Act,2004. Under rule 10 of this Act, the Commission has been conferred the powers of the Civil Court. He further said that the Government will not tolerate any laxity in this regard and under the provisions of the Act, the cases will be dealt with impartially.
