Ferozepur, July 27, 2019: After the five days of missing from the home, the district administration has successfully rescued a twelve-year-old girl from Jalandhar and restored her to mainstream on Friday.

Deputy Commissioner Chander Gaind said that news regarding missing a minor girl was published a few days back in the local newspapers and taking cognizance of which the rescue orders were issued to authorities.

During the search operation the district administration got a tip-off that the girl was with Nari Niketan Jalandhar, adding that Gaind said that a special team was immediately dispatched to bring the girl back here.

The team successfully rescued the minor and the deputy commissioner himself counseled the girl for three hours at his office.

During counseling, it came to the light that the girl was in depression due to the drinking habit of his father besides poor locality of her house and with the current school said the Deputy Commissioner.

The girl expressed her unwillingness to be restored to her father until he gave up the habit and also changed the locality.

Acting upon this, the deputy commissioner immediately got her readmitted to a new school and provided her a new bicycle and books. He motivated the minor to focus on her studies to be a successful person in life. He gave her examples of various girls who earned a name in the various walks of life.

Gaind asked his father to change his residence locality as she does not want to live in the current locality. Meanwhile, the girl agrees to live in the orphanage home until her father found a new accommodation to live in, added the Deputy Commissioner.

Gaind reprimanded his father for his drinking habit and not been able to take care of her daughter. He asked the father to give up his drinking habit for the sake of the happiness of her daughter and give her all she needed along with special attention, love, and affection. He directed the officials of the orphanage home to help the girl get over the incident and ensure proper safety of the girl.
