CTIHM Made Its Way Into Limca Book Of Records By Preparing 198 Omelettes

The students of CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM) prepare the varied of Lip-smacking 198 Omelettes in an Open Arena at its Shahpur Campus on Saturday.

Jalandhar, January 23, 2016: CT Group of Institutions achieved yet another milestone by making its mark in the Limca Book of Records with its outstanding culinary skills. The students of CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM) under the guidance and supervision of Experts Chefs from Radisson Hotel (Jalandhar) prepared the varied of Lip-smacking 198 Omelettes in an Open Arena at its Shahpur Campus on Saturday.
This accomplishment is one of its kinds as it not only brought laurels to the college but also to the Sports hub of Punjab. With this feat, CTIHM has entered into Prestigious Limca Book of Records for the year 2017 by breaking the record of 180 Omelettes.
In this astonishing activity, 150 students of CTIHM prepared the Omelettes under the supervision of Mr. Vinod Kaul (General Manager, Radisson), Mr. Rahul Rawal (Chef, Radisson) and the team of experts chefs from CTIHM. They prepared Omelletes with different types of Herbs, Spices, Oil, flavors, cheese, vegetables, Chicken salami and others.
Experts from the Radisson appreciated the activity arranged by the CTIHM, as they said, “Being part of this amazing work, students must have learnt the way to work as a team in a mass activity, to deal with the deadlines of a competition and the ways to handle the different logistics.”
The motive behind organizing such an event was to give practical knowledge and experience to our students. Dr. Rohit Sarin (Director, CTIHM) informed that the event was basically a live preparation in which the crowd including students and food lovers learned and seek the knowledge of preparing a healthy Omelettes. He said, “This is one of its kinds of record registered in the Limca Book. We are highly obliged that they have accepted our proposal and registered our institution’s name in their prestigious book.”
The Limca Book Records have registered our name for this record. S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) said, “I really like the concept of Live preparation of food. This effort not only teaches the healthy way to prepare food to the society, food lovers and students, but at the same time it engrossed their interest towards the cooking.” S. Charanjit Singh Channi said, “I am happy that we are providing every aspect of practical knowledge to our students by involving them into varied of activities like this. Earlier, we had made 30 ft Longest Sandwich, now these 198 Omelettes and in the coming days we will come up with something even more interesting and learnable for the students.”
