CT University holds orientation program for Optometry students
Ludhiana, August 23, 2018: For a flagship in industry driven campus, CT University (CTU) has started Masters in Optometry (M.Optometry) in the School of Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare Sciences in collaboration with city based Rana Hospital. This course includes the study and processing of human eye and the vision part. An orientation programme was organised that highlighted the benefits of this stream which would lead to a social responsibility in an individual. Dr Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Registrar, CTU remarked, “Our ability to see the world around us spectacularly influences the quality of our lives. To take care of vision, periodic eye examination is vital for which such specialised courses as of optometry are greatly beneficial.” Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, said that the University is helping the nation by producing socially responsible healthcare professionals with expert knowledge. The healthcare and paramedical courses offered at CTU equip the students with latest know-how and hands-on-exposure to advanced machinery in the hospital with which we have fostered collaboration. He welcomed the students of the specialized optometry courses and wished them luck. Besides the senior faculty of CTU, the experts of Rana Hospital were also present on the occasion. The students were provided insight into the facilities, governance, rules and regulations at CTU.
