CT Public School lifts Champions Trophy in U-17 & U-19 Zonal Cricket Tournaments

Jalandhar, August 26, 2014: CT Public School has carved a niche in the field of cricket in the zonal tournament and marched ahead to participate at the district level. The team played magnificently and flawlessly to become the frontrunners at this level. CT Public School was part of Zone-3 in which 22 schools participated.

These tournaments were organised by the Punjab School Education board. It was a proud moment for the school to lift the champions trophy in the under – 17 and under – 19 boys category.

The final match of U-17 category was played between CT Public School, who won the tournament by 8 runs from Sain Dass Senior Secondary School. In the match, CT Public School scored 81 runs in 15 overs but team of Sain Dass Senior Secondary School could not beat the total.

In under-19 category, CT Public School beat Police DAV Public School by 7 wickets. In the match, Police DAV scored 42 runs in 15 overs and CT Public School chased the total in just 13 overs.

Principal of CT Public School, Ranjana Rajput congratulated the teams and their coaches for their hard work, dedication and team spirit which helped them to acquire the coveted position.  While, Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman of CT Group of Institutions stressed on the importance of games and sports activities in our life. He also congratulated the students for their remarkable attempts. It was a successful and memorable event for the students.
