FDP on Skill Development for Business Start-Ups at IKGPTU on May 13

Jalandhar/Kapurthala, May 6, 2024: In its pursuit to promote start-ups in the State of Punjab, I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) Jalandhar- Kapurthala is hosting a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled Skill Development for Business Start-Ups at IKGPTU main campus on May 13, 2024. The University is continuously striving to incubate entrepreneurial ideas by providing state-of-the art facilities required from conceptualization to realization for establishment of start-ups.

This programme is being organized by National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh as per their mandate at Kapurthala Campus of IKGPTU and Centre for Executive Education of University is the nodal Centre at University for this programme.

Starting from 13th May 2024, the FDP aims to orient participants to the established entrepreneurial competencies & facilitate start-up ecosystem understanding. Faculty members from AICTE approved Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics across India may participate to gain insights for fostering creativity and innovation in start-ups ecosystem.

“To create awareness among participants on important aspects of creating and nurturing a business start-up will be the key objective of this FDP” said Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal, the Vice-Chancellor IKGPTU. Registrar Dr.S. K Misra, who is heading Centre for Executive Education said we have strategized to augment entrepreneurial capabilities among youth of State and the participants of this FDP will be oriented to design thinking on the lines of conceptualizing the start-up idea and materializing it.
