Jalandhar, October 20, 2014: Lessons are learned best at a young age and Maqsudan Campus of CT Group of Institutions have taken up this thought at the right time. Students are being urged by their teachers to give up bursting firecrackers on Diwali. The school has conducted an eco-friendly rally to spread awareness not just among students but in the public too.

The rally was flagged off by Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions, Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions, Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman, CT Group of Institutions and ADCP Traffic, Baljit Singh Dhillon. The rally was conducted by around 250 students of the school in association with Jalandhar Traffic Police. The rally started from BMC Chowk by students raising slogans and adversaries for the city resident, which ended at Company Bagh Chowk.

Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman, CT Group of Institutions said that CT Group of Institutions has planned a rally focusing on 'Eco Diwali' theme. "The children have prepared banners reading 'No to Crackers' and many more. They took a rally at nearby areas with the message. "We also had a seminar for the students in which officials from Jalandhar Traffic Police taught the students and encourage them to play Eco- Diwali.”

Students took pledge to support for the cause of cracker free Diwali. They also placed boards reading Eco-Friendly Diwali sayings in the different parts of the city. ADCP Traffic, Baljit Singh Dhillon said, “As crackers cause air and noise pollution, residents should celebrate a clean and green Diwali this time,” said an officer, adding that every resident should put in efforts to bring about a change.

While Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions shared his views with every one present through his remarkable words. He motivated the students to celebrate a cracker and smoke free Diwali. “These campaigns change the thinking of people and bring more social awareness, “said Channi.
