Coveted Position Won by Cambridge Students In National Chess Tournament

Jalandhar, December 15, 2015: Games play a vital role in overall development of a human being. Indoor and outdoor games are equally important. Chess is a game of mind and concentration which has maintained its popularity and interest even with the present generation. The promising students of our school gained applause and praise from one and all by performing in an excellent manner in Chess Nationals held in Kolkata from 10th to 13th December,2015.
 
There were various categories in which our students performed very well. In Under 14 category, Boys of our school won the Third position. The participants of this event were Anmol, Dushyant, Namitbir and Navkaran. Along with this, Dushyant also won his Board prize for scoring the highest on his table throughout the tournament. In Under - 10 category, Anahita Verma won the Third place in individuals as well as won the Board prize for winning all her matches.
 
On this occasion, Chairman of the school   Mr. Ajay Bhatia, Deputy Chairman Mr. Deepak Bhatia ,Chairman Learning Wings Mr. J.K Kohli, Dr Brijesh, Mr. Nitin Kohli, Academic Director Ms. Deepa  Dogra and Principal Mam  Ms. Kiranjoth  Dhillon congratulated  all the participants and encouraged them to keep putting in their best in all the tournaments in future also.  They also appreciated Sports department   for their selfless service and hard work put in by them.
