Counter Intelligence arrests one person having links with Pakistani smuggler, one managed to escape


Ferozepur, August 19, 2012 : The Counter Intelligence team has arrested one person and recovered one magazine, 5 cartridges and Indian currency Rs.2.15 in the border village Bareke under the supervision of Narinder Singh Warraich, Inspector, said Ajay Maluja, AIG Counter Intelligence.

 

Maluja said that another accomplice managed to flee from scene and police is making raids at the suspected places to arrest him. The police suspects of having links of these persons with the Pakistani smugglers.

 

Further, Maluja said that Counter Intelligence department got a tip-off that some anti-social elements are moving in this area.  A 'naka' was put by the police party headed by Inspector Narinder Singh of Counter Intelligence and on suspecting, two persons on Hero Honda Passion motor cycle borne were stopped and on searching one magazine, cartridges and cash was recovered from one persons. 

On preliminary investigation, the arrested person was identified as Zora Singh while the other person who managed to escape was declared as Bhagwan Singh.
