Condolence meeting held as a mark of respect to Dr Jagshand Singh Chhina

Ludhiana: The faculty of PAU Ludhiana on Thursday observed a condolence meeting in Pal Auditorium as a mark of respect to Dr Jagshand Singh Chhina, Senior Extension Specialist (Farm Management), Department of Economics & Sociology.
Dr Chhina was posted at Farmer Advisory Service, Gurdaspur. He was suffering from liver cancer lately and succumbed to the ailment on 29th May, 2016 at Vancouver, Canada.
All the faculty members expressed their condolences to the deceased and prayed for the strength of the family. The Punjab Agricultural University Teachers Association also express its condolence and acknowledged the contributions made by Dr Chhina towards strengthening and upliftment of agricultural extension services.
Dr Chhina had good rapport with the farmers, was a decent human being and scientist par excellence.
A condolence resolution was read at the meeting and a two minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
It was also resolved that a copy of the resolution will be sent to the bereaved family.
